But a billion quid does go a long way... it doesn't when you're flat as a pancake! I genuinely really stuggle to watch that video, I've got the worlds worst acrophobia though so that probably doesn't help! I'm going to get a brew to calm down! rob190364 2,594
Yeh its not really the fall that bothers me, more the concrete at the bottom you'd be battered all the way down I reckon cos it's not a straight fall. Last year I went to the top of the leaning tower of pisa, which is a fraction of the size of that. I literally almost shat myself and had to ask one of the tour guides if I could crawl underneath the bell to get back into the tower and down again, my mrs fimed it soooo humiliating! I have never been so relieved to feel solid ground again!!!

I used to do loads of rock climbing/mountaineering etc and the fear a heights never caused me any problems even if you fall off and get caught by the rope etc.. but I havnt done anything like that for about 10 years and seem to have become massively concerned about heights now. Even after watching that I know that when trying to go to sleep tonight I will have the 'falling of big building scenario' in my head

Even after watching that I know that when trying to go to sleep tonight I will have the 'falling of big building scenario' in my head my family would rather have me than money .....or so they tell me! I actually took up rock climbing to get over my fear of heights and it worked, I even fell of twice and it didn't bother me too much. But then I stopped going and within a matter of months my fear of heights went 10 times worse, I'm really really bad now. I can't even climb more that about 5 or 6 rungs of a ladder! I had another humiliating experience at York castle, I was on the top and didn't realise how low the side walls were so froze and couldn't let go of the hand rail on either side. Next thing there's about 3 or 4 seven year old kids stood behind me asking me if I could move out of the way and let them past but I couldn't let go so they had to go round the other way!! Same here its since I stopped. Now I struggle even when working in London, especially when in high building with glass sides where you can see straight down. I have all on to try and not dive away from the glass into the middle of the room, lol Edited October 6, 2011 by lapin2008

I must admit it is a bit over the top in my case though.
